How to install the Siroflex Ultra
Installing the Siroflex Ultra takes about two minutes and zero tools: hand-tighten onto any standard 1/2 inch arm with the included rubber washer.
This is the easiest install in home improvement. The Siroflex Ultra threads onto the standard 1/2 inch shower arm found in virtually every North American bathroom, seals against its own rubber washer, and tightens by hand. No wrench, no thread tape, no plumber.
If you have not bought one yet, start at the where-to-buy guide. If your problem is a weak spray rather than a missing head, read the low water pressure guide first. Otherwise, the whole job goes like this:
Remove the old head
Grip the old shower head and turn it counterclockwise until it comes off the arm. If it will not budge, wrap it in a dry cloth for grip and try again.
Clean the arm threads
Peel away any old thread tape and wipe the arm threads clean with the cloth. The Ultra seals with a washer, so leftover tape does nothing but get in the way.
Check the washer
Look inside the Ultra collar and confirm the rubber washer is seated flat. That washer is the entire sealing system.
Thread it on by hand
Turn the Ultra clockwise onto the arm until it is snug. Hand-tight is correct; do not use a wrench and do not add thread tape.
Test for drips
Run warm water and look at the connection. If you see a drip, give the head another quarter turn by hand.
